Home care

Care in the comfort of your own home

Home care means someone can stay where they feel most at ease, among their own things, routines and neighbours, instead of moving to a care home.

  • Help with everyday tasks

Practical help with shopping and small everyday jobs, always respecting the person’s preferences and usual routine.

  • Company at appointments

Going with the person to health and social appointments, so there is a familiar face on the way and during the visit.

  • Meals and home life

Meals are prepared in the person’s home, the way they like them, and light housework and laundry help daily life carry on as usual.

  • Company and conversation

Conversation, shared interests, walks and visits: time that helps someone stay connected to the people and activities they love.

  • Long-term support

Experience of steady, patient work with people living with serious or long-term illness, even as their daily needs change over time.

  • Peace of mind for the family

The same person always provides the care, and the family knows her. What the family is told, and how often, is agreed at the start, with the consent of the person receiving care.

More about home care

Who the care is for

Older people and adults living with illness

Some people need reliable support in daily life as they get older: shopping, preparing meals at home, going to appointments, or company during the day. Others live with a serious or long-term illness, or want to get back to their usual routine after a stay in hospital. Sometimes these needs come together.

The independent carer behind Love and Harmony Care has worked with adults in many different life and health circumstances over more than 18 years. Support starts with getting to know the person’s preferences and daily habits, and what will be done is agreed together in advance.

Why Love and Harmony Care

Continuity with a carer you know

When the same carer supports someone regularly over time, she gets to know their habits and preferences better. Love and Harmony Care values a patient, steady working relationship; where circumstances allow, it can last for many years.

About the carer

  • Continuity

One familiar face who comes to know the person, their routines and their family.

  • Experience with complex needs

18+ years in adult care, and known for her work through long, demanding periods of care.

  • Respect and dignity

Help is offered, never imposed. The person’s home, routines and privacy come first.

  • Your home, your way

Care fits around the household: the person’s daily rhythm, their meals and the family’s wishes.

  • Honest communication

The family knows how things are going and hears about changes early.

  • Calm and patience

Difficult days are part of care. Staying calm and patient is part of the job.

How it works

From first call to settled care

A clear path with no pressure. You decide how quickly things move.

  1. Step one

    Get in touch

Call, send a WhatsApp message or use the enquiry form, and describe the situation briefly.

  2. Step two

    Talk it through

Needs, routines, health and the home are talked through with you, ideally with a visit before anything is agreed.

  3. Step three

    Agree the arrangement

Start date, fees, routines and any special circumstances are agreed directly between you and the carer before care begins.

  4. Step four

    Care begins

Care begins at home at a gentle pace, and the arrangement is reviewed with you as needs change.
